To Whom Are We Listening? (part 15 of 16)
“I just don’t KNOW ENOUGH Scripture.” “I’m just not smart enough.” “When I gain more knowledge I’ll begin to share my faith with others.” But will you? Will you ever feel you KNOW ENOUGH? Will I? The amazing thing about God’s Word is that the more we read it the more we learn and the more we realize we are still in need of learning. But in the process it is His wisdom we gain. We can’t tell others what we don’t know, but we can tell them what we do. We can talk about what Jesus means to us and how He has made the difference in our lives.
Paul stated…
“(28) God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, (29) so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. (30) He is the source of your life in Christ Jesus, WHOM GOD MADE OUR WISDOM and our righteousness and sanctification and redemption.” ( 1 Corinthians 1:28-30 ESV)
Are you listening to yourself describing your inadequacies? God knows we are inadequate by ourselves. However, He is willing to provide us with HIS WISDOM, thus enabling us to live in accordance with His Will and lead others to Him.
James encouraged…
“If any of you LACKS WISDOM, let him ASK GOD, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” ( James 1:5 ESV)
Let us not lean on our own understanding, but rather look to God and depend on His wisdom to guide our lives.
Have a great day LIVING BY THE WISDOM OF GOD as we walk in the steps of Jesus!
