To Whom Are We Listening? (part 14 of 16)

Have you laid out a plan of what you aim to do when you have more faith? Have you been confronted with something you refused to attempt because you said, “I don’t have ENOUGH FAITH”? How much faith is ENOUGH? Will you ever have ENOUGH FAITH? Will I?

We need to listen to what God has revealed regarding faith. Listen to Him!
“(5) The apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith!’ (6) And the Lord said, ‘If you had FAITH LIKE A GRAIN OF MUSTARD SEED, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.’” ( Luke 17:5-6 ESV)

What are we doing with the faith we have? That is the real issue. There was an old man who once prayed something like this: “Lord, I don’t need faith to move mountains. If I wanted to move these mountains I could take some of this here dynamite and move them. But what I really need is ENOUGH FAITH TO MOVE ME!” Does that hit where you and I are?

Paul exhorted…
“For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the MEASURE OF FAITH THAT GOD HAS ASSIGNED.” ( Romans 12:3 ESV)

We had ENOUGH FAITH to believe and accept Jesus as our Lord. We ought to continue growing in that faith. However, let us at least live in accordance to the faith we already possess. Even a little faith goes a long way.

Have a great day LIVING BY THE FAITH YOU HAVE!
