To Whom Are We Listening? (part 11 of 16)
“If I only had more!” “I just can’t manage with what I have?” How often have we said this? How often has this at least been our thought? But isn’t the reality most often that we have not always used what we have wisely? Generally speaking, the more people get the more they want.
God knows our needs. He wants us to trust Him and not be anxious. As Paul acknowledged the generosity of the Philippian brethren he stated:
“And my GOD WILL SUPPLY EVERY NEED OF YOURS according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” ( Philippians 4:19 ESV)
Jesus pointed out that God is fully aware of the needs of our lives when He said...
“(32) For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWS THAT YOU NEED THEM ALL. (33) But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” ( Matthew 6:32-33 ESV)
God wants us to listen to His encouraging words. He knows our needs. He will provide. However, He also wants us to PUT HIM FIRST, for in so doing we will keep other things in proper perspective.
Have a great day THANKING GOD FOR HIS BOUNTIFUL PROVISION FOR LIFE!
