To Whom Are We Listening? (part 1 of 16)

Often times the world gives counsel that is misleading. The world (including its “experts”) does not always have the things of God in mind. Therefore we need to be careful what advice or direction we accept. To whom have we given our ears? Are we listening to the world or LISTENING TO GOD?

There is another source of misdirection we need to consider also. It has been said that sometimes we can be our own worst enemy. It is easy to find ourselves focusing on our inadequacies and negative notions and allowing them to determine our view of life. Especially in those situations it is GOD to whom we must KEEP LISTENING. For all the negatives which may come to mind regarding ourselves, GOD has a positive answer on which He desires us to keep our focus. He wants us to know what He has provided and is willing to continue to provide.

Peter encouraged:
“(3) His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIM who called us to his own glory and excellence, (4) by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.” ( 2 Peter 1:3-4 ESV)

Have a great day LISTENING TO GOD’S ENCOURAGEMENT!
Carl
