A Happy Place!

Is your world (the sphere of activities and relationships close around you) a happy place? Is your life a happy place? Is there understanding with regard to your own role in the finding of a happy place? Are the true elements of happiness properly perceived?

First consider what it is that creates unhappiness in this life. Is it not things such as deception, guilt, selfishness, death and disappointment, etc.? What then are some elements that help create happiness? Is it not such things as the joy of having served to meet other’s needs, knowing we are right regardless of what others say, knowing we have been forgiven, knowing that ultimately God will work things out, etc.? Could we say that happiness is a state of HEAVEN IN THE HEART? To have a heart of Heaven and toward Heaven is that which will draw us into HEAVENLY LIVING now. That is HOLY LIVING; living that makes us different from the world. It is such an aim that provides a peace that surpasses understanding and may even cause the world to wonder how we can retain a sense of joy and peace when there may be a lack of it around us.

Someone has said, “If it were possible to enter heaven void of holiness, it would be no place of happiness.” [source: sentence sermons]

As John described the new Jerusalem, he stated…
“But NOTHING UNCLEAN WILL EVER ENTER IT, NOR ANYONE WHO DOES WHAT IS DETESTABLE OR FALSE, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” ( Revelation 21:27 ESV)

Truly, how happy could Heaven be if it contained the detestable deeds and falsehoods of this realm? Where God is, is a place of HOLINESS! And those who will be brought into His presence for eternity will be those who have been made HOLY by the blood of Jesus. ( Hebrews 10:10 & 14) Having been set free from our sins we receive SANCTIFICATION, the end of which is eternal life. ( Romans 6:22)

Peter exhorted…
“(14) AS OBEDIENT CHILDREN, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, (15) but AS HE who called you IS HOLY, YOU ALSO BE HOLY IN ALL YOUR CONDUCT, (16) since it is written, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.”” ( 1 Peter 1:14-16 ESV)

May we find happiness now in focusing on the HOLINESS of God and thus experience a taste of the Heavenly happiness that is to come! By striving to spread a little HEAVEN here as we live to please God, hopefully we can gain the attention of those around us to come to know the Source of true and lasting happiness. We may not be happy about all things here, but the day is coming when happiness of the most pervasive kind is all there will be. I want to be there, don’t you? Praise God for His provision to make it possible!

Have a great day LIVING WITH A HAPPY HOLY HEART!
Carl
