The End Of Instruction!

God is the Creator of LIFE. ( Genesis 1) Jesus was referred to by Peter as the “author of LIFE.” ( Acts 3:15 ESV) Jesus came into this world so that we could live an abundant LIFE. ( John 10:10) In Jesus has also been provided the means of eternal LIFE.( 1 John 5:11 & 1 Timothy 1:16) Quite the focus on LIFE! It is what God and our Lord are all about and desire for us. They are for LIFE!

Is this truth continuing to be pressed upon our mind? Does each day we live in the light of God’s truth help us learn the depth of this desire God has for us? To be a disciple of Jesus is to be a learner. Are we remaining open to the instruction provided? Are we still striving to learn or do we feel we have learned enough?

Solomon urged…
“KEEP HOLD OF INSTRUCTION; do not let go; guard her, FOR SHE IS YOUR LIFE.” ( Proverbs 4:13 ESV)

As disciples of Jesus, our instruction in the will of God does not end. As long as we have LIFE we need to continue learning and growing, understanding the ultimate end of our discipleship is eternal LIFE. We need to hold on to what we have learned as we continue to seek more knowledge of the Will of God. May we continue to have a heart and mind that remain instructable so as to lead to an indestructible LIFE!
