Firm Trust!

Sometimes a simple statement can mean so much. This is especially so when it is connected with God. Anything associated with God should be significant to us if God holds the place in our life that is rightfully His!

As Jeremiah delivered God’s warnings to Judah, he faced opposition. There were others prophesying better things (i.e. Jeremiah 5:12-13), but these prophets were not speaking for God. Nevertheless, Jeremiah faithfully proclaimed God’s message and looked to God for his own deliverance.

Note the following simple statement made by Jeremiah.
“Heal me, O LORD, and I SHALL BE healed; save me, and I SHALL BE saved, for you are my praise.” ( Jeremiah 17:14 ESV)

In Jeremiah’s mind, if God did something, IT WOULD BE SO! It would not be partial. It would not be halfway. It would be complete! Regardless of what else was going on around him, Jeremiah trusted God to sustain and ultimately save him. Even if the rest of the nation looked elsewhere for salvation, it was to God Jeremiah was resolved to look. His trust in God’s power was firm! If God would bring the healing (whether physical or spiritual) IT WOULD BE SO! If God would deliver him and save him, IT WOULD BE SO! Regardless of any threat, Jeremiah saw God as the One sufficiently able to save for he knew that blessing is on the one who trusts in the Lord. ( Jeremiah 17:7) Keeping an unwavering trust in God will bring ultimate blessing to us as well.

Have a great day FIXING FAITH’S FOCUS ON GOD!
