Valiant

The history of mankind is filled with stories of valiant people and valiant endeavors; brave individuals steadfastly standing for worthy causes. We read about them in history books. We find them in the pages of Scripture. Perhaps we have even met or will meet such persons during our own lifetime. However, have we ever pictured ourselves being included in the list?

In association with a time of conflict and VICTORY, David wrote…
“(11) Oh, grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man! (12) WITH GOD WE SHALL DO VALIANTLY; IT IS HE WHO WILL TREAD DOWN OUR FOES.” ( Psalm 60:11-12 ESV)

In this life we stand to face various foes of a seeming insurmountable nature. Paul listed such opponents as tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger, and sword. ( Romans 8:35) These are challenges which may try to separate us from our relationship with Christ and His love. However, note what Paul went on to declare.

Paul encouraged…
“NO, IN ALL THESE THINGS WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM WHO LOVED US.” ( Romans 8:37 ESV)

Against such we stand to not just be conquerors, but MORE THAN CONQUERORS through Christ. Even over the greatest foe of death itself God has provided the means of VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ. ( 1 Corinthians 15:54-57)

As we face life’s challenges we may wonder about our own ability to stand firm. Nevertheless, like David, let us understand that “with God we shall do valiantly” as we continually seek to be “strong in the Lord and in the strength of HIS MIGHT.” ( Ephesians 6:10) VICTORY is a sure thing with Him.

Have a great day BRAVING LIFE’S CHALLENGES WITH THE STRENGTH OF THE LORD!
