IN ____ WE TRUST!

For us to make the statement above, what would go into the blank? What do our choices reflect? What do our actions reveal? To what or whom do we turn for counsel and guidance?

To turn away from God is to turn toward that which is false. Rejecting the truth of God is an act of pride because it is a decision that suggests one has either come up with or found better wisdom than what He has to offer. Many today have been easily led away from truth to believe lies. Paul even referred to those who “exchanged the truth about God for a lie” ( Romans 1:25) and were so set on doing so that God gave them up to their desires. ( Romans 1:24) What a perilous position in which to be left!

David exhorted…
“BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO MAKES THE LORD HIS TRUST, who does NOT TURN to the proud, TO THOSE WHO GO ASTRAY AFTER A LIE!” ( Psalm 40:4 ESV)

Where have we placed OUR TRUST? If we place too much confidence in the teachings of men we too may be easily led astray. Our confidence needs to remain with what God has said because HE WILL NEVER LIE. ( Titus 1:2) What He has stated we can rely upon. Keeping THE LORD as OUR TRUST we will be blessed!
