The ALL and the ONE!

What is the predominant thing we see around us? Is it “All for one and one for all!” or is it “Every man for himself!”? Perhaps we see some of both ideals. Would life not be at its best if it were “ALL for THE ONE and THE ONE for ALL!”?

God is for us. ( Romans 8:31) He has provided the means of salvation for ALL who will submit to His Will. He has also preserved His Word to provide the guidance and wisdom necessary for life. Through Christ and a knowledge of Him our Heavenly Father has provided ALL that pertains to life and godliness ( 2 Peter 1:3) for ALL who will accept it.

Paul, writing to the church at Corinth stated…
“(5) For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth -- as indeed there are many ‘gods’ and many ‘lords’ -- (6) yet for us there is ONE GOD, THE FATHER, FROM WHOM ARE ALL THINGS AND FOR WHOM WE EXIST, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.” ( 1 Corinthians 8:6 ESV)

Some tend to idolize popular opinion and bow down to it. Other have become their own “god” in the sense they hold their own will above anything and anyone else. However, it is our Heavenly Father we are to recognize as THE ONE Who has brought ALL things into existence, and for Whom we ALL are to exist. May we continually seek to live to glorify THE ONE Who has brought us into being and is able to sustain us for an eternity.
