Power Passages! (6 of 11)

We need more strength than is within ourselves. What an encouragement it ought to be to know how willing God is to supply the POWER needed to press on in life. Every aspect of God is glorious and that includes His mighty POWER He makes available to us.

Paul stated a prayer for the brethren at Colosse in these encouraging
words:
“(10) so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. (11) May you be STRENGTHENED WITH ALL POWER, ACCORDING TO HIS GLORIOUS MIGHT, for all endurance and patience with joy, (12) giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.” ( Colossians 1:10-12 ESV)

God’s POWER is designed to strengthen our ability to press on, to endure patiently the trials we face, and bring us joy even in the midst of this world’s disappointments. May we continue to look to God for His mighty POWER and be thankful for that gift!
