Live With Integrity!

Do you ever wonder what has happened to integrity in daily life? So much cheating and dishonesty goes on today that in some circles it is almost expected. It has been a problem for a long time among mankind. As we read through the Old Testament we find even God’s prophets, priests, and kings did not always live with integrity. (i.e. Jeremiah 5:31) As Paul wrote to Timothy he made reference to a time of the lack of integrity coming. (note 2 Timothy 3:1-4) Read the list Paul presented and consider how closely it fits our society today.

Solomon noted…
“WHOEVER WALKS IN INTEGRITY WALKS SECURELY, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.” ( Proverbs 10:9 ESV)

As children of God, integrity is something the world should see being exhibited in our life. It is a SECURE position to take. To walk with integrity we don’t have to worry about being found out or how to keep our stories straight. We can feel SECURE knowing with certainty what we have said and done. To walk in integrity we can also walk in a SECURE relationship with the God Who knows all that goes on within us as we continually aim to do what is right.

Paul was one whose aim was to always live before both God and man in all good conscience. ( Acts 24:16) May we also choose to shun the crooked and twisted ways of the world and walk in integrity before God and all those we meet.
