Game of Life!

Some refer to life as a game. If so, how serious do we take it? In sports it may be true “It matters not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game that counts”, but when we are talking about life we don’t want to lose!

A lot of pressure is put on the coaches of professional sports teams. If they do not lead their teams to victory they are quickly fired. With professional sports there is a lot of money involved. However, with life there is much more involved than money; our very soul is at stake! As Christians, we should be encouraged that we have a WINNING COACH who knows the game (note Hebrews 4:14-15) and offers all that is necessary to get us around the bases and safely home.

Paul encouraged…
“(56) The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
(57) But thanks be to God, who gives us THE VICTORY THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.” ( 1 Corinthians 15:56-57 ESV)

John also encouraged…
“(4) For EVERYONE who has been BORN OF GOD OVERCOMES THE WORLD. And this is the VICTORY THAT HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD -- OUR FAITH. (5) Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” ( 1 John 5:4-5 ESV)

It is a universal league in which we are in the midst of competition. However, we have a COACH Who is in a league of His own! Regardless of the competition we can trust the COACHING we receive from our Lord. He will lead us to final victory! Let us keep our faith in Him.

Have a great day REMAINING A PLAYER ON CHRIST’S TEAM!
