Action Of Our Being!
Have you ever noticed how some people go about their daily routines (work, school, chores, even driving, etc.) while their mind seems to be elsewhere? This may work fine with some activities, but with others (such as work or school) productivity can become greatly hampered. When it comes to our relationship with Jesus we must recognize how it is to involve a purposeful focus of the actions of our whole being.
Note two aspects from a statement by our Lord.
“(37) On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him COME TO ME and drink. (38) Whoever BELIEVES IN ME, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”” ( John 7:37-38 ESV)
Coming to Jesus and following after Him is to be our ACTION OF LIFE. We are to be continually drawing closer to our Lord while allowing the progressive transformation more and more into His likeness ( 2 Corinthians 3:18) to take place. Believing in Jesus is to be our ACTION OF MIND. We are to be continually seeking to discern what is pleasing to our Lord. ( Ephesians 5:10)
We will find it difficult to follow Jesus if our MIND is focused elsewhere. Because we can be so easily distracted it is needful to develop a very purposeful focus of our entire being on Him. Actions of LIFE and MIND; aiming to both share the essence of Jesus by walking in His steps ( 1 Peter 2:21) while seeking to possess His MIND. ( 1 Corinthians 2:16) Remember how Jesus noted the greatest commandment was the focus of the love of the whole heart, soul, mind, and strength on God. ( Mark 12:30) May such be the essence of our undistracted focus as well.
Have a great day FOCUSED TO LIVE A COMPLETELY CHRIST CENTERED LIFE!
