Indulging!

There is a sense in which the world is a smorgasbord -- a tantalizing buffet of concepts and ideologies -- and many people are indiscriminately gorging themselves on it all. We face many ills in our society (and in the world at large) today because a lot of stuff being passed off as food for thought is in reality nothing but “baloney.” And if we want to remain healthy emotionally, intellectually, physically, socially, and spiritually, we must maintain a serious mindfulness regarding that on which we choose to dine.

Regarding the WORDS OF GOD, the psalmist remarked…
“How SWEET ARE YOUR WORDS to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” ( Psalm 119:103 ESV)

If we have a sweet tooth, this is where we can indulge without worrying about caloric intake. There is also no need to be concerned about counting carbs or watching fats or worrying about cholesterol because everything dished out from GOD’S WORD is good for bringing wholesomeness to life. There is plenty in the Scriptures to add much needed “fiber” (character) and increased energy for vibrant living. May we continue to taste “the goodness of the WORD OF GOD and the powers of the age to come” ( Hebrews 6:5 ESV) on a daily basis.

Have a great day DELIGHTING IN THE DELICACIES OF GOD’S WORD!
Carl
