Well, I Declare! (part 7)

It is with hesitancy that bad news is shared, since it is known the news will impact the hearers in a negative way. Sometimes it is even with fear that bad news is shared as the bearer of the news may wonder with what type of response they may come face to face. Even though the messenger may not be the cause of the bad news the recipient may lash out at them anyway. No, we don’t relish the thought of bringing bad news.

It is GOOD NEWS we like to share. GOOD NEWS generally brings a good response. GOOD NEWS can be shared with a smile and be received with one as well. GOOD NEWS is easier to deliver.

Note Paul’s request of his Ephesian brethren:
“(19) Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known THE MYSTERY OF THE GOSPEL,
(20) for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may DECLARE IT FEARLESSLY, as I should.” ( Ephesians 6:19-20 NIV)

The GOSPEL is GOOD NEWS. Yet we do find ourselves hesitant to share it at times. Sometimes we are fearful of rejection when trying to share God’s GOOD NEWS. If we really believe it to be GOOD NEWS we ought to always be ready to DECLARE it with joy. The GOSPEL is the BEST NEWS we have to offer the world for it is linked not only to this life, but to eternity as well.
We know the difference the GOSPEL has made in our own lives. Though it is true there are some who reject it for one reason or another, we ought to continue to DECLARE it fearlessly that those who will receive it with joy may have that opportunity.

At some point someone DELCARED that GOOD NEWS to us. It may have been a parent, a preacher, a teacher, a close friend, or even a stranger. May we not be guilty of allowing that GOSPEL to stop with us. Rather, continue to pass the GOOD NEWS along with the hope fruit will be brought forth in the lives of others on whom the seeds of God’s message fall. May we keep each other in prayer to this end.

Have a great day DECLARING GOD’S BEST NEWS for mankind!
Carl
