Worklight!

I have a “droplight” hanging in our garage. Now, the dictionary defines a “droplight” as an electric light that can be raised or lowered by using a rope, cord, or pulley. I have often mused that the reason it is called a “droplight” is that I frequently drop it and have to replace the bulb. My “droplight” has been handy for hanging in the attic when I’m looking for things stored there. It has also been helpful for seeing underneath the car or hanging it down around the engine for a better viewing around all the hoses and wires. Good light makes work go much easier.

Someone has said, “Every truth we know is a candle given us to work by.”

The psalmist put it this way…
“YOUR WORD is A LAMP to my feet and A LIGHT to my path.” (Psalm
119:105 ESV)

Every time we open God’s Word and read from it we should see something a little bit clearer. God has provided the illumination we need to be able to see Him and our own lives better and thus how we are to relate to Him. The TRUTH also sheds light on our life in a manner which enables us to see what is out of place that might hinder our spiritual progress. And the light of God’s Word also reveals the work we are to be involved in as His servants.
The more TRUTH we know the more light we will have by which to live and work. May we continue in its light.

Have a great day TURNING UP THE LIGHT FOR BETTER SERVICE!
Carl
