Well, I Declare! (part 1)

When crossing the border from Canada into the U.S., a question generally asked is, “DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO DECLARE?” What the border officials want is for us to MAKE KNOWN anything of a VALUE requiring a “duty fee” which we might have purchased during our visit.

The Psalmist stated:
“(1) The HEAVENS DECLARE the glory of God; THE SKIES PROCLAIM the work of his hands. (2) Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. ( Psalm 19:1-2 NIV)

Creation has something to DECLARE of VALUE regarding God Himself. The heavens make known God’s glory and the creative work of His hands.

The HEAVENS DECLARE! Do we? Do we have something of VALUE to DECLARE to the world? As we meditate on our relationship with God and the blessings He has brought into our lives, what are some of the things of VALUE we ought to be DECLARING to the world? Spend some time in meditation on that idea today and (Lord willing) we shall consider it further over the next few days.
