Won't Be Missed!

One of the things I enjoy associated with the CELEBRATION of July 4 in this country is the commercial fireworks displays. There have been times we have watched a local display while being able to see others taking place off in the distance. The bright flashes of color that sparkle, spiral, or spread out like fingers across the sky are eye-catching displays of pyrotechnics.
People gather in large crowds to watch these displays while oohing and ahing at the sight. Some of these shows are even accompanied by music with the blasts and flashes being programmed to occur in time with the beat.

As much as we might enjoy a flashing and thunderous fireworks display, such awesome spectacles across the sky are nothing compared to a glorious event which will someday take place. It will be an event which will most definitely be eye-catching. It will be a happening which will not be missed.
And for those who are ready it will be a time for great CELEBRATION.

Jesus, knowing there would be attempts to deceive people ( Matthew 24:23-26), referred to His return in these words.
“For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, SO WILL BE THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN.” ( Matthew 24:27 ESV)

Oh, what an awesome display that is going to be. And Jesus implied that wherever anyone was it would be within view. It is an event that will also most likely be accompanied by great songs of praise to our Deliverer and Savior Jesus Christ. May we be mindful of living each day in preparation for when that time might be as we continue to hold out the message of hope in Christ to those around us.
