Pearls! (Part 4 of 7)

The psalmist wrote…
“(6) Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness; (7) you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions; “ ( Psalm 45:6-7 ESV)

Governments and kingdoms; they rise and they fall. When this occurs there is much uncertainty for the citizenry as to what to expect for themselves regarding financial security, laws, freedoms, etc. But what an encouragement to know that GOD’S RULE STANDS FOREVER! His kingdom offers the STABILITY we need and we should know that we can always expect righteousness from Him. His Anointed One, our Lord Jesus Christ, is presently on the throne and we are living even now as citizens of His glorious kingdom. As we recognize our ultimate citizenship is in heaven ( Philippians 3:20), may we be at peace and rejoice in living under such righteous rule.
