Apostasy! (Part 6 of 6)

It has been stated that apostasy is only a generation away. We see it even in Israel’s history when a generation was raised up that knew not God.
(i.e. Judges 2:10; 1 Samuel 2:12) The importance of teaching God’s commands to the next generation was emphasized in association with the Old Law that came through Moses. ( Deuteronomy 6:7) It is also emphasized in the New.
( Ephesians 6:4)

Teens reading this focus; you need to spend regular time reading God’s Word and using it as the authority for your choices and goal setting in life. Adults reading this focus; we need to be diligent in living as godly examples, revealing the wisdom and practical application of God’s Word in our daily lives while stressing and teaching verbally the importance of godly principles to the next generations. Apostasy can happen far too easily through either indifference or lack of diligence in this matter. A good education doesn’t just happen by accident.

The psalmist exhorted…
“How can a young man keep his way pure? BY GUARDING IT ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD. (10) WITH MY WHOLE HEART I SEEK YOU; let me not wander from your commandments! (11) I HAVE STORED UP YOUR WORD IN MY HEART, that I might not sin against you.” ( Psalm 119:9-11) ESV)

God has provided His Wisdom to guard and direct our lives. May we seek Him whole heartedly as we daily store up His Word in our hearts.

Have a great day DILIGENTLY SEEKING AND DOING GOD’S WILL!
