Apostasy! (Part 5 of 6)

Paul, writing to Timothy, warned…
“(3) For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, (4) and will turn away from listening to the truth and WANDER OFF INTO MYTHS.” ( 2 Timothy 4:3-4 ESV)

The world is full of wanderers who easily turn aside to this thing or that. To meander through life without a definite cause, standard, or purpose leaves a big question regarding where one might end up. As some run from one teacher to another, so it is with ideas as well, leaving their lives filled with restless wandering in pursuit of another story. There are many strange ideas people flock to today and if life is not anchored in God’s Word there will be a continual drifting from one thing to another. May we continue to acknowledge and reveal to those around us that the real substance for life and eternity is connected to Christ.
