Apostasy! (Part 4 of 6)

Paul, writing to Timothy, warned…
“(3) For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, (4) and WILL TURN AWAY FROM LISTENING TO THE TRUTH and wander off into myths.” ( 2 Timothy 4:3-4 ESV)

Turning the back on the truth is an extremely dangerous step. What one will ultimately embrace can be anyone’s guess, because once the truth is turned away from there is nothing stable to which other ideas and teachings can be COMPARED or MEASURED.

To what are we LISTENING? It is truth we must always be seeking. May our ears never lose the itching to hear and accept the message of God.
