On The Mat (part 5) The "Pin"

The focus on the “PIN” as we wrestle in prayer could be stated like
this: Lord, I know that the victory is mine because you are with me. I struggle when I feel I can do it on my own. Help me keep in mind how much I need You, Your power, and Your coaching in order to gain the victory.

Some talk about fighting to the death, but we press on as Christ will ultimately destroy that last enemy.
“The last enemy to be destroyed is death.” ( I Corinthians 15:26 NIV)

And so we look to Christ who brings about the victory.
“(54) When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come
true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” (55) “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” (56) The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. (57) But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” ( I Corinthians 15:54-57 NIV)

And by faith we are numbered among those who overcome!
“(3) This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, (4) for everyone born of God OVERCOMES the world. This is the VICTORY that has OVERCOME the world, even OUR FAITH. (5) Who is it that OVERCOMES the world? Only HE WHO BELIEVES that Jesus is the Son of God.” ( I John 5:3-5 NIV)

Press on to PIN! Press on to WIN! As we wrestle on in faith, may we PIN the fear that keeps us from boldly proclaiming the truth. May we PIN the old self with its practices that the new self in Christ may continue to live and glorify Him. May we PIN the selfish interests that God’s Will may be done in our daily lives.
