On The Mat (part 2) The "Standup"

The “STAND UP” in life may be expressed this way: Lord, give me strength to remain firm and faithful. Help me to get up and give me the strength to stand for that which is right.

The “STAND UP” is crucial. Time in prayer is of the utmost importance.
However, we are not to spend all our life down on our knees. The time comes for us to move from prayer to action. The time comes for us to stand for, and upon, God’s principles. In our prayers we may find ourselves wrestling as we acknowledge the lack of strength and courage to boldly stand up for that which is right. But let us pray. Let us pray in faith. And then let us stand knowing we are not standing alone.

We need to trust in God’s provision to help us STAND.
“(10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. (11) Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your STAND against the devil’s schemes. (12) For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (13) Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to STAND YOUR GROUND, and after you have done everything, to STAND. (14) STAND FIRM then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, (15) and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. (16) In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. (17) Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (18) And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.”
( Ephesians 6:10-18 NIV)

So what shall we do?
“Therefore, my dear brothers, STAND FIRM. Let nothing move you.
Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” ( I Corinthians 15:58 NIV)

Remember the passage which kicked off this series referred to Epaphras wrestling in prayer for those at Colosse that they would “...STAND FIRM IN ALL THE WILL OF GOD, mature and fully assured.” ( Colossians 4:12 NIV)

Have a great day STANDING on and for the Will Of God!
