God's Blessings!

The statement has been made, “Ask God’s blessings on your work, but don’t ask Him to do it for you.” [source: calendar quote]

Our God has a great desire to bless our lives. He has blessings in mind for us now and for the future. And we should desire His blessings to be upon the WORK of our hands. However, we are to be mindful of the personal responsibility we are not to shirk.

Solomon exhorted…
“COMMIT YOUR WORK TO THE LORD, and your plans will be established.”
( Proverbs 16:3 ESV)

Solomon did not say, “Give your work to the Lord.” OUR WORKS are to be committed to God for the furthering of His Will to His glory and praise.
Humble servants of God, WORKING to fulfill His Will on earth, are the ones who find blessings in the WORK.

James encouraged his readers…
“But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but A DOER WHO ACTS, HE WILL BE BLESSED IN HIS DOING.” ( James 1:25 ESV)

Our reading of God’s Word is to prompt active service on our part. We are to actively live out the principles of God’s Word and fulfill the purposes He has given to us as His servants. We must always bear in mind the doing of OUR PART ( Ephesians 4:16) in the Body of Christ, as we carry out the WORK God has given us to do.

Have a great day INVOLVED IN GOD BLESSED LABORS!
Carl
