All Things?

Someone has said, “If you see good in everything, you may be an optimist. On the other hand, you may be nuts.” [source: “1600 Squibs And Quips”, compiled by E. C. McKenzie]

Perhaps we have difficulty seeing the GOOD when it is there in some situations. Hopefully we are learning to trust more and more in the God who does have the ability to make “all things work together for GOOD” ( Romans 8:28 ESV) -- that is for those who love Him. However it is important to note Paul did not say all things were GOOD. That is where some make the worst mistake; calling that which is not GOOD, GOOD.

God said it well through His prophet Isaiah centuries ago.
“WOE TO THOSE WHO CALL EVIL GOOD AND GOOD EVIL, WHO PUT DARKNESS FOR LIGHT AND LIGHT FOR DARKNESS, WHO PUT BITTER FOR SWEET AND SWEET FOR BITTER!” ( Isaiah 5:20 ESV)

GOOD is GOOD when GOD is in it and for it. Regardless of the issues and opinions of today, we need to seek first and foremost what God has said and let it go at that. In spite of how we feel regarding any given issue, it is His standard we must acknowledge now because it is His standard which will matter in the end. Changing the labels will never change the facts nor His mind!

We may feel challenged as we continue to stand for the Will of God, but He has spoken and that should settle the matter in our own mind if we are seeking to please Him. May all the wisdom of His Way be evident in our life.

Have a great day FAITHFUL TO GOD’S WAY OF EXCELLENCE!
Carl
